Overview

SA Life Academy offers a standard-base day program designed to meet the holistic needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Certified Special Education teachers design a stimulating curriculum that includes relationship building, art, recreational therapy, health and wellness, community outreach, life and job-skills training. SA Life Academy also collaborates with volunteers and professionals throughout the community to offer specialized classes such as yoga, recreational therapy, and gardening. Through community integration which includes 5-6 hours of volunteerism per week, SA Life Academy students give back to the community in a meaningful way. There are no more than 12 students per day in each class from 8:30AM - 3:00PM Monday through Friday.

The SA Life Difference

SA Life Academy differentiates itself from similar programs through the offering of a stimulating curriculum designed by Certified Special Education teachers. Special Education teachers understand the unique needs of our students and can respond to those needs in a meaningful way. We also maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio and ensure an Associate teacher and Lead Teacher are present in a classroom of 12 students. SA Life Academy offers a high level of community integration through volunteerism, educational and recreational community outings. Through these outings, SA Life Academy students experience the world with friends and give back to the local community.
