Our Mission

SA Life Academy’s mission is to provide exceptional learning opportunities that help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live full and active lives.

Your Support Makes A World of Difference

Funds raised through the Off Broadway Gala support year-round, stimulating community-based learning opportunities that help our STARS build confidence, hone daily living skills, develop greater independence, and form meaningful connections beyond the classroom.

Today, SA Life Academy serves 170 students from 49 ZIP codes, and our waitlist continues to grow. Gala support helps sustain exceptional programming while allowing us to expand responsibly to meet an increasing need.

Our wide range of programming supports growth across every area of life through health and wellness, social-skills development, relationship building, community outings, volunteer opportunities, art, elective classes, and career development initiatives such as Rising STARS Coffee. These experiences give students meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, contribute, and practice skills in real-world settings.

SA Life Academy founder Cindy Boynton often said, “We bring our students into the world, and we bring the world to them.” That vision continues to guide our programming and is at the heart of Cindy’s Cottage—a vocational storefront named in her memory that will provide meaningful employment opportunities in an inclusive, public-facing setting.

Together, we can open more doors for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience greater opportunity, belonging, and purpose in the world around them.
